PhotoFit ("the App") is developed by Mag Studios. This privacy policy explains how we handle your information.
The App processes your photos entirely on your device. Your images, the compressed outputs, your recent-compressions history, and your settings are stored locally on your device only. We do not upload, transmit, or store any of your photos or personal information on our servers.
The App requests access to your device's photo library so you can pick photos to compress. Selected photos are read, processed, and saved back to your device locally. We never copy your photos to any external server. EXIF metadata (date taken, camera info, GPS, orientation) is preserved by default to keep your photo history intact.
The App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect and use data to show personalized ads, including:
On iOS, the App asks for your permission before any tracking identifier is used, through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you decline, ads are still shown but are not personalised, and the App works exactly the same.
You can also opt out of personalised advertising in your device settings at any time. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy.
The App offers a one-time in-app purchase ($1.99 USD) to remove ads permanently. Purchase records are handled by Google Play on Android and by the Apple App Store on iOS, and are not stored by us.
We do not operate our own analytics service, and your photos, compression history and settings are never transmitted to us. However, Google AdMob collects usage and diagnostic data of its own in order to serve and measure advertising, as described above. This data is handled by Google, not by us.
All app data (recent compressions, settings, IAP entitlement) is stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage and the device's media library. This data is not accessible to us or any third party. Uninstalling the App will delete all locally stored data, but your saved compressed photos remain in your photo library unless you delete them yourself.
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
The App integrates with Google AdMob for advertising, and with Google Play Billing (Android) or Apple In-App Purchase (iOS) for the optional one-time purchase. We do not share your photos or personal data with any third-party service.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
